Brief Answer:
Total bilirubin and AST above the normal range!

Detailed Answer:
HI and thanks for this query.

Glucose, ALT and alkaline phosphatase are within normal limits.

AST and total bilirubin are not the best. The values are way over the normal limits. With you being conscious of high alcohol intake, this could be the cause. I am glad to hear you have stopped and I do hope you would not be going back there.

If you should successfully stay away from alcohol, control these laboratory findings in 3months. At this time, if they are still abnormal, then we would be doing further investigations to look for other possible causes of liver disease like infections.

In all, stop alcohol intake and control these results in 3months. If they stay abnormal, further investigations would be carried out.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
Definitely not dying..but need further evaluation!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up.

I would have told you to seek immediate attention if the results suggested you were dying. You are definitely not dying anytime from this. It really means it is something you should work on to have answers and address accordingly. First step is to stop alcohol, get the tests controlled and pick up from there depending on the results.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Hi to your boys and tell yourself dad would be around long enough to see you through life if it were all dependent on these tests results we have discussed.
