Question: HI SIR ..MY SGOT IS 83.7..SGPT 91.8..ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE IS 86.7...BILIRUBIN DIRECT IS 0.1...BILIRUBIN TOTAL IS 0.32..BILIRUBIN INDIRECT IS 0.22..GGT IS 43.4.. TOTAL CHOLESTEROL 242..LDL CHOLESTEROL DIRECT 164...HDL CHOLESTEROL IS 58..TRIGLYCERIDES IS 112..TC /HDL RATIO 4.2...LDL/HDL RATIO 22.46...VLDL CHOLESTROL 22.46... URIC ACID 7.61..BUN 16.48..CREATININE SERUM 0.58.....T3 99...T4 6.6....TSH 11.89 PLZ SUGGEST WHAT I DO FURTHER..I TAKE ALCOHOL ONCE OR TWICE IN MONTH..AND SAME FOR NON VEG DIET...

Brief Answer: Get an ultrasound scan of the abdomen done Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for posting your query. I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you. Your SGOT, SGPT, total cholesterol,LDL cholesterol are out of range. The most likely cause for your raised SGOT and SGPT is fatty liver. This fatty liver could be due to high cholesetrol levels. Fatty liver can be confirmed with an ultrasound scan of the abdomen. Though alcohol intake also can cause fatty liver, in your case it is mostly likely to be due to high cholesetrol. You need to check your blood glucose level as high blood glucose is another common cause of fatty liver. Other causes of abnormal liver function should be ruled out which includes infection with hepatitis B and C. So you need to do the following- 1. Ultrasound scan of the abdomen 2.
