What Does My X-ray Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Fri, 7 Apr 2017
Question: hoping someone can take a second look at this xray as "dense hilum" was mentioned on the radiologists note. Last doc thought normal? Do you see a dense hilum on this image? Could this be related to my lymph nodes and inflammation?

Brief Answer:
No abnormal hilum found in your chest x-ray,details below...

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

I have gone through your medical history and the xray report you sent in and understood your concern.

Please take note that Hilum refers to the lung roots. It consists of major bronchi and pulmonary veins and arteries.

In your chest-xray, the hilum is within normal size, position and shape. So, nothing abnormal noted.

Can you please send the full xray report, so I can analyze the findings myself?

With regards to lymph-adenopathy, can you please explain more:
- on the location of enlarged lymph-nodes?
- are they painful? movable?
- apart difficulty of breathing, do you have other symptom so far?
- since when are you have this adenopathy problem?
- any other test done so far?
- any medication started?

Thank you.
