Question: Hello Doctor, I went through CT urolography at Medanta and CTKUB at XXXXXXX hospital to confirm the stone. I am currently taking ayurvedic medicines and Doctor told me that it will be cleared in 20 days. I wanted to confirm if I can have the CT KUB again within 20days to confirm the effect of medicines. I am afraid for any side affects of CT scan. please advise.

You have been detected to have stone in kidney and taking Ayurvedic treatment and expecting the stone get dissolved within three weeks ( As per assurance from the treating Ayurvedic practitioner ).

To be true there is no medication that can dissolve the stone however since you have assured you can wait till the course of medication that he has recommended is over and get the CTKUB done to be rest assured about the efficacy and result of treatment .

Since radiation has its own hazards get it done after 3 weeks .
