Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Major depression with psychotic features is a serious mental disorder in which a person have depression with psychotic episodes.

Major depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest.
Symptoms of this disorder may include:
-Feelings of sadness, emptiness or unhappiness. You may feel that your life doesn't worth living.Feeling worthless and guilty for things that you can't control.
-Tiredness and lack of energy
-Anxiety and agitation,
-Loss of interest or pleasure in normal daily activities like going out ,meeting friends , reading books ,listening music or any thing else.
-Sleep problems including insomnia or sleeping too much,
-Reduce appetite and weight loss.

A type of major depression is depression with psychotic features.
In this case the symptoms of depression are accompanied with psychotic symptoms like hallucinations or delusions.

Psychosis is a condition when a person loses contact with reality. The person may have delusions or hallucinations.
Delusions are fixed false believes that are resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact ( unshakable beliefs in something untrue) for example a person might strongly believe that his family members want to poison him ,or that he is being followed and there is no real fact that can convince him to the contrary.

Hallucinations are sensations that appear real but are created by your mind.
They occur when someone sees, hears, smells, tastes or feels things that don't exist.

A person diagnosed with Major Depression with psychotic features might have symptoms of depression associated with delusions or hallucinations .So he may hear voices criticizing them, or telling them that they don't deserve to live or he may strongly believe that he is sick with an untreatable disease.

This is a serious condition that require immediate treatment because the risk of suicide is high and close monitoring by a healthcare provider is necessary.
