Brief Answer:
What is the age of your pregnancy?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this report and all the inconveniences this must have caused you. To give more information on what this could mean, I will like to know the age of your pregnancy. If it is still early, then follow up ultrasounds would help tell whether it remains in the lower segment or it is of no further concern.

However, if you are in the third trimester(more than 28weeks), this could imply that you run the risk of having what is called placenta previa. This can cause bleeding in the later part of pregnancy leading to premature and difficult delivery.

In all, the meaning and what to expect depends on the age of this gestation. Kindly provide you last menstrual period to me for estimation and more insights from me.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
For now, follow up ultrasound alone!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this follow up information.

In early pregnancy, this is not always valid and has little predictive value on the pregnancy. Future ultrasounds would provide more information on the exact site of implication that we can base our interpretations on to make conclusions and recommendations. For now, there is no point in being worried about this.

I hope this helps. I wish you a safe pregnancy. Let me know if there is anything more you would like me to do for you at this time.
