What Does Itching On The Scrotum Indicate?

default
Posted on Wed, 29 Apr 2015
Question: I have an issue that seemed of no concern but do to the time that has went by and am now getting concerned. About 7 weeks ago after 3 hours of clearing weeds on some vacant property, I noticed an unusually itching on my scrotum. I pretty much ignored it, but the next day I noticed a small rash on my upper right thigh where my testicles could have rubbed. Again I pretty much ignored it. Due to excess sweating I always use baby powder after showering and thought maybe I forgot to put on baby powder and that is what rubbed a rash? About the 4th day the itching is getting worse and the rash is spreading. It has continued to get worse and about 4 weeks ago I noticed wart/skin tag like bumps on the testicles and upper thigh area. I began treating the area with colloidal silver cream, Neosporin, essential oil, Benadryl cream and Lamosil for jock itch. Nothing seems to be helping. Any thoughts?

Brief Answer:
Lab tests needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

You used drugs to treat your condition that include antibiotics, Antihystaminics and anti fungal, so if your symptoms were caused by bacteria, skin rubbing or fungal infection, you should have been improved.

Warts and bumps on genital area can be caused by viruses too ( Herpesvirus eg.)

In order to achieve a correct diagnosis, there is need for lab culture of skin material collected at affected area, tests for STD and urinalysis.

I suggest you to discuss with your primary care Doctor above mentioned possibilities.

Treatment depends on clinical examination by your Doctor and tests results.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
