Brief Answer:
Take a simple X ray, Advil tablets and apply Dicofenac gel.

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

You've mentioned intermittent pain in your right knee, I would ask you to take an X ray right away as this can rule out some issues quickly. The commonest reason of pain in a single knee as in your right side is due to trauma or ligament stretching. There are certain ligaments such as the ACL also called as the anterior cruciate ligament that frequently get injured. The first medication that you might want to take is Advil also called as ibuprofen, which is available without a prescription in pharmacies and drug stores. I would tell you to apply some diclofenac gel to your knee too. This will help you greatly in eliminating the pain issues. An X ray of the knee is cheap, quick and painless. So, you might want to take some action on this.

Thanks,
