Brief Answer: primary hypothyroidism. Detailed Answer: Dear ma'm, Hi! TSH > 5 is considered hypothyroidism irrespective of T3 or T4 suppressed or normal. so the diagnosis is clear. you must start with thyroxine replacement. dose according to your weight. thyrowel is a multivitamin with tyrosine, it does help thyroid to work better but in cases where the reports are normal and patient is symptomatic, or in sub clinical case. thyrowel may be continued but you require more of thyroxine replacement. after 6 weeks of therapy repeat the tests and let us know how you are doing. regards!

Brief Answer: not diet related. Detailed Answer: Dear ma'm, hypothyroidism in most cases is autoimmune and not diet related now after salt iodization. dose of thyrowel is not specific, it is a multivitamin, you can take once or twice after meals. dose of thyroxine is 1 mcg /kg /d. it needs to be taken empty stomach early morning. no significant side effects known with either of the drugs. regards!
