Question: 2 days ago I had a blow to the chest. CT showed fracture in 8th sternocostal joint. Lungs and organs are fine. Taking tramadol. Now have fever of 38C.

Do i need to go to ER because of fever or is that normal part of healing process?

Brief Answer:
No need to worry for this temperature.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No need to worry for this fever. This is normal healing process. Healing will take at least 15-20 days. Till that time avoid stress and tension. Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid bad postures in sleep. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
All these will give you symptomatic relief.
So no need to visit ER for this temperature. It will subside by its own.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
