Question: What is chronic sequelae of interval hemorrhage, possibly subarachnoid. This is a finding from a recent MRI of my wife. Her problem is neurological.

Chronic sequelae from subarachnoid hemorrhage may be attributed to possible vasospasm that this kind of hemorrhage can cause.

Vasospasm may lead to infarctions and ischemic changes in the brain.

Thickening of the brain coverings may happen too.

Clinically speaking chronic sequelae of subarachnoid hemorrhage include working memory, so, if there is doubt about dementias, this possibility should be taken into consideration too.

Discuss with your wife's Neurologist about these issues.
