Question: Hi. I have been taking xarelto for 7 months with occasional gum bleeds. This week I bled every day (There is nothing wrong with my gums. My son is a dentist).I stopped taking the xarelto two nights ago and took 1 coated aspirin .325). When I woke up this morning I had blood on my pillow. Should I not take the aspirin for awhile? The doctor wouldn't call me .

Brief Answer:
Yes, stop aspirin

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for using HCM.

Aspirin is a blood thinner and interferes with clotting. Since you are bleeding everyday, it is prudent to stop aspirin for a while.

You can discuss with your doctor before you start taking aspirin again.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
