Brief Answer:
Sebaceos cyst vs lipoma...

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking Healthcaremagic.

I am Dr.Endri Katro and I will answer at your questions.

The lump that you describe probably is a sebaceos cyst (epidermoid cyst or pilar cyst) or a lipoma(acumulation of fat). These cysts are benign and can stay at the same size for months or years. But after some time they tend to grow. The treatment is through surgery and there is nothing to be worried.

These cysts are not painful, only if they get infected the patient might feel pain.

If I was your caring doctor i would suggest to consult a surgeon and if you want,to remove it.

If you have any other question, don't hesitate to contact me.

Wish you good health.
