Brief Answer:
Further test is necessary to confirm the diagnosis of Syphilis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
VDRL test is a nonspecific test to detect Syphilis (a STD). Sometimes it will show reactive in conditions other than Syphilis. That is called Biological false positive phenomenon.
Your sexual history and additional tests are needed to confirm the diagnosis of Syphilis. Moreover the VDRL dilutions are necessary before instituting the treatment for the follow up (To assess the prognosis). Seek the help of a Dermato-venereologist to confirm the diagnosis and for treatment and follow up.
