Little more explanation needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic!

Shunt is normally a bypass connection then a normal route and is made of some specialised material to avoid allergic response or to avoid triggering any inflammatory response of the body. Many type of shunts have different looks. For example a VP shunt used to lower pressure inside Brain and spinal cord is like plastic tubing which dumps extra intracranial fluid slowly into peritoneal space. A Porto systemic shunt is like stiff metal or piece which lets portal circulation bypass liver cases of portal hypertension. so 8t all depends where it is being used. can you share details that what has been suggested in your case so that I can be able to able to guide you in a better way?

You can ask further details depending upon your requirement in followup questions as I feel details asked by you needs little more information and detailed history. Regards.
