What Does A Bump On Forehead After An Inury Indicate?
Question: Hit my head very hard left side top of forehead . I do have a bump .. I Immediately had pain it was bad then felt a bit dizzy , went to ER. They said nothing but offer a CT scan . I did and it was normal. My head hurts especially on raising my eyebrows . Felt a bit lightheaded and a little dizzy . They said to come back if worse. I am

First and foremost I would like to reassure you that there is no cause for concern.
The bump you have developed over the forehead is external hematoma(Outside the cranial cavity). Negative CT and absence of intracranial bleed during CT evaluation is very reassuring. Its highly unlikely that delayed or late bleeding will occur following trauma. The blood vessels which have withstood the force of impact denotes they are strong enough and not weakened (as in case of aneurysm) and they are unlikely to bleed latter. Its the weakened blood vessel as in case of aneurysm which bleed even with minor insignificant trauma.
Rest be assure there is absolutely no cause for concern.
