Brief Answer:
CRP raises during active infection & inflammation

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

CRP or C Reactive protein is an acute phase reactant which increases during the episodes of acute inflammation or infection in the body.

As you are having throat pain, which could be bacterial in eitiology, the CRP has shot up. This is also an indication to start active measures such as taking antibiotics and anti-inflammatory.

My suggestions to you are:
1. To drink plenty of warm water
2. To use povidone iodine throat spray or gargles
3. Try taking an anti inflammatory such as diclofenac or ibuprofen
4. A broad spectrum antibiotic
5. Avoid chilled food and beverages/smoking/alcohol/fizzy drinks if any

Hope I have answered your queries; I'll be available for the follow up queries.
