Question: Hello Doctor,

My left lower eye-lid twitches since last 1 week. It is not continuos but occurs intermittently and stays for few seconds to hours together.

My other symptoms are a mild left shoulder pain (more closer to the neck), occasional ear pain, and stomach fullness after eating.

Brief Answer:
These symptoms are usually self-limited.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms. The muscle twitches in eyelid are usually self-limiting in nature. They are usually aggravated with strain or lack of rest.

No treatment is usually necessary.

Only if the symptoms persist for long duration, then, it is called blepharospasm, and botox injection may be needed in those cases.

Other symptoms are not related to this.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
