Question: Hi...doc...recent. ..I ...chk my both daughters hemoglobin. ..age 17and 13 both reports r show 11.6 and 11.7.....am worried can u plez help me out how to increase it...

Hemoglobin level of 11.6 and 11.7 girls aged 17 and 13 respectively is low low.
Low hemoglobin level is termed as anemia.
There are various causes for anemia.
In order to find out the cause of anemia, certain investigations need to be carried out.
This includes- complete hemogram which consists of red blood cell count, hemoglobin level, hematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW and peripheral blood smear examination.
Please get these investigations to know the cause of anemia.
Once the cause is known, treatment for anemia can be planned.
