Question: patient was hospitalised for Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation with Heart Failure and Mitral Stenosis with Lower Respiratory Tract Infection and As per available medical records had past medical history of Diabetes Mellitus, Cardiac Ailment, Epilepsy and Asthma.kindly review all medical records and confirm whether current hospitalization and treatment was due to complecation of pre-existing ailments,

1. The presence of diabetes, asthma and Mitral stenosis (leading to CHF) are predisposing factors for parainfluenza pneumonia. These illnesses predispose to infection due to immunocompromised state they induce. Hence they are important for occurrence of this infection. However, the infection may occur even in their absence; so it can not be definitely called a sequel to Diabetes or CHF. They can perpetuate but do not cause of infection.
2. The secondary diagnosis of fluid overload and AF with RVR is a direct result of mitral stenosis.
