What Do These Following X-ray Findings Indicate?
Question: Hi..My son has had several shunt infections. He is 17 and has been in hosptial for 47 days now. They said they removed all shunts and he now has 2 evd's for draining. He is non communicating left and right. I wanted to make sure tubing was removed because his neck was sore...Just to clarify, he got a second bug and they and to replace the evd's, plus during his 47 days in hospital they had capped off a right non working EVD and replaced it. They sais they removed it but I don't know because of the image I saw on xray. They told me they removes all hardware but I asked for another xray. I see a evd in his neck. neurosurgeon said it was on the outside but I was holding them up. I had to hold evd's up so they would not appear in xray...Can i send pic please
