hello,
Since that mononucleosis is negative IgG and IgM I think you should test for CMV, serology for toxoplasmosis and HIV. Regards.

Brief Answer:
Heterophile test is not recommended for general use.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you writing back in healthcaremagic.

You should know that monospot (heterophile test) test is not recommended for general use because antibodies detected by monospot can be caused by conditions other than infectious mononucleosis.
Moreover, studies have shown that the monospot produces both false positive and false negative results specific for heterophile antibodies, not EBV.
Furthermore it can also be positive in people with lymphoma, lupus, and some gastrointestinal cancers, although it is not used as a diagnostic or screening tool for these conditions.

I hope my answer helps you.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
Please see the detailed answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I am sorry for my late response.

As I sad above the monospot is not specific for EBV.
Since the moment you have IgG and IgM negative results for EBV I suggest to meet an ID specialist to exclude other pathology.

I hope my answer helps you.
Regards.
