Brief Answer:
Your CPK is mildly elevated and not alarming, request more details

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Enzyme creatine phospho kinase (CPK) is an enzyme which is found in tissues in humans like the brain, heart and skeletal muscle. CPK is measured as a whole or as isoenzymes which are named CPK 1, CPK 2 or CPK 3. Your CPK test probably refers to CPK in general.

2. Normal CPK range of CPK is usually from 22 to 198 units per liter, though this can vary depending on the laboratory. Usually CPK levels are measured to know any risk of muscle injury. Increased CPK levels can signify conditions involving muscle, heart and brain.

3. Your levels are mildly elevated and not too alarming. However it is important to know if you are taking any medicines like statins which are given to lower cholesterol level. Doing exercise before giving the blood sample for test can also give an increased result.

4. If you are taking statins to lower cholesterol and if your CPK levels are elevated then you need to talk to your doctor. Should you have any muscle related condition or hypothyroidism then please let me know.

5. Please do let me know the reason you got CPK levels tested for a detailed discussion.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
