Question: Sir...I'm married for two years ...we were trying to conceive for past three months..since I had a normal cycle so far,we were sure that it would not be a problem..but since nthg happened for two months I took an hormonal assay... I was having a mild hormonal imbalance..but my ovaries are good...I have been given clomiphene citrate in day 2 for 5 days...and on my 11th day a tvs was taken which showed no dominant follicle...and the doc has asked me to come on 14th day of my cycle..to see if I have a late response...I just want to know how many days will it take to ovulate after taking clomiphene and is there a good chance of me getting a dominant follicle on the 14th day.....

Brief Answer:
Usually ovulation occurs by 14th to 15th day

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. Clomiphene is an ovulation inducer. The ovulation usually occurs around the 14th day although it can be delayed upto 21st or 23rd day occasionally. But if there is no dominant follicle for that cycle, it is doubtful whether ovulation any would occur in that cycle.

Let me know if I could help further.
