Question: I'm a 34 year old male

Had a cholesterol test done. My cholesterol levels are as follows. Total cholesterol 250, my HDL 40, my LDL 184, Trigly 129.

My blood sugar in fasting is 87 and 2 hours post meal is 95. My BP is 130/85. I do not smoke nor drink. I have already started walking 1 hour a day and do 30 minutes of Yoga. And completing cutting cards and sugar. My diet now is mostly non starchy veggies and occasional lean meat and low fat milk.

Is this ok to reduce my cholesterol levels or should I take medicine.

Brief answer.....you can wait for starting the medicine.
Detailed answer.....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I gave read your query and understand your concern.
Since you are young and not having any other additional problems like diabetes or high blood pressure, you can wait and watch.
Although your total cholesterol is only slightly high,it is your LDL cholesterol which is quite high. Ideally LDL ( bad cholesterol ) should be below 100.
Similarly your good cholesterol ( HDL ) is also low. It should be between 50-60.
Steps you are taking for reduction like exercises and cutting down the calories are good and should be continued vigorously.
Make your walk a brisk walk.
Wait and watch for 3 months and then get your Lipid profile repeated.
If your LDL is still high, then we can put you on medicine.
For HDL to improve, best medicine is exercises only.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
