What Do Red Red Spots On Body With Fever Indicate?
Question: Good evening, my 8months old daughter is having a red spots all over her body. Fever begun after few days of red spots appeared. Her doctor says it's just a soap allergy but I'm not very convince.
Please help me, I'm so worried now. She's with my mom in cebu Philippines, and I'm in Japan.
I hope you can help me I really have no idea what could it be.

Dear Ms
First and foremost let me reassure you, there is no cause for concern.
In rash associated with fever, usually fever is the first to come followed by rash.
So this rash is unlikely to be due to systemic disease.
The rash is not very much obvious from the clinical photograph provided by you, but definitely the baby looks happy and cheerful which is very much reassuring to Physician. There seems nothing seriously wrong with the baby.
The rash could be explained by the following
1. Excessive oil over the body: If you have the habit of giving oil massage followed by soap bath, presence of excessive oil or after bath moisturizing cream could cause generalized rash
2. Allergy to ingredient of soap
I would suggest you to use one of the following body washes and shampoo for scalp
1. Himalaya body wash
2. XXXXXXX and XXXXXXX body was
3. Sebamed body wash
4. Chikoo
depending on your local availability you can use one of it.
