What Do My Perinatal Screen Test Results Indicate?

default
Posted on Fri, 4 Sep 2015
Question: I received my perinatal screen results and they have now requested I get it done monthly. The results of my first test says I am O+ and E+ phenotype. By hand they wrote "unable to make Anti E+".
What does this mean for myself and my unborn child? Is this something to be concerned over?

Brief Answer:
Hi there is nothing worry right now

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam,
I did review your concern,
Basically your main ABO blood group is O and Rh system is D antigen positive. so there are no chances of Rh allosensitisation and harm to your baby. Also, it is good that your Rbcs are also E+ which means that your Rh system also has E antigen positive which means your body cannot make anti E antibody and which is a good thing as there is no chance of your baby getting E sensititization.
i would recommend you to not worry in terms of allosensitization to Rh antigens so thats great news.

Please do get monthly check ups, take regular prenatal vitamins and healthy diet. ALso get regular sonograms for baby growth.Rest will be fine.
I hope this helps
Wish you all the best.
let me know if you have any more questions or concerns mam.
Sincerely,
Dr Parth Desai.
