Question: Sir, on last 23rd March, 2016, I have been detected with "Chronic ilietis with activity" after colonoscopy. Sir, I had on medication for last one and half month. 1. Mesacol 800 mg - 3 tablet daily 2. Folvite - 5 mg - 1 tablet daily. Besides , I am also taking some supplements like Amway nutrilite Daily- multivitamin - 1 daily and Cod liver oil capsule - 2 to 3 daily. I have already taken medication for last one month with restricted foods - no tea, no dairy product, no fried food, spice etc. Since last 7 days , I have started taking PANTODAC as I had some stomach burning. Now feeling better.

Stool is mostly semi solid.

I would like to know is it crohn disease ?

Is the medication I am taking ok ? Recently one doctor asked me to stop Mesacol, and asked to take Meva C. Other doctor asked me to take Normaxin and Rifagut.

I shall be grateful if you kindly advice me on the medicines, on food foods.

Regards

Brief Answer:
Could be Crohn's need further workup

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
I have gone through the reports you ave provided the symptoms could be due to Crohn's disease. Chrons's Disease is one of the causes of chronic ileitis.
I would suggest some further work up

1. C enteroclysis - this will help to determine what parts o2the intestine are
inflammed
2 Upper GI endoscopy
3 Fecal Calprotectin
4 Xray chest ( we need to look for TB as tuberculosis can cause a picture similar to Crohns)
Mesacol is not very effective in Crohn's disease.

My Advise would be to continue Rifagut 550 mg twice a day
get the tests which I have suggested.
If the tests indicate Crohn's then you would need steroids.
Hope this helps
