Brief Answer:
Can mangge with Urimax and Dutasteride .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts and reports that you have posted it appears that your father is diagnosed to have Benign Enlargement Of Prostate (BEP)

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1)Does he have obstructive voiding symptoms like poor flow ,frequency
for urination ?
2) Does he have urgency and Nocturnal frequency for urination ?

His uroflowmetry and ultrasound scanning report suggests benign enlargement of prostate of a size of 52 gms with insignificant post void residual urine of 15 ml .

The need for endoscopic surgery is mainly governed by severity of symptoms and significant volume of post void residual urine (PVR) above 40 ml and irritative bladder symptoms like urgency and nocturia .

Looking at the symptoms and reports that you have posted if he happens to be my patient I would continue with medications like Urimax and Dutasteride once daily for couple of months and observe for any improvement in his quality of life and take a call for surgery if his symptoms aggravate .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.

Brief Answer:
Continue with Urimax and Dutasteride .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

Since he does not have any alarming symptoms that bother his quality of life you can continue taking Urimax along with Dutsteride (Urimax D) once daily .

Enlarged Prostate is a aging process and it is not necessary to operate every patient .It is the severity of symptoms that matters as regards decision to operate the patient or not.I have been following this principle in my 43 years of practice and do not operate every patient that comes to me with Enlarged Prostate.

Finally choice is yours.

Thanks and Regards.
