Question: Hello Dr XXXXXXX Thanks a lot for coming back to me. Hope you are doing well. After your advice, I did visit Apollo Hospital and had a consultation with Dr. C. XXXXXXX Dr XXXXXXX had diagnosed my condition as Multiple Lipoma and suggested for extraction of bigger lumps which are causing troubles. At the same time he also advised that Lipoma is Ok and it's not harmful to me in anyway. He suggested that may be after an extraction they can study more about the lumps content. As a second opinion, I did have consultation at Fortis also (Dr. Raju) and he also mentioned the same as suggested by Dr. XXXXXXX Me and my wife felt that both the doctors are very casual in their replies and about my condition which in a way helped us in believing that the condition is not serious and very common. Now a days I am finding new lumps more frequently on my abdomen which some times causes me to think but otherwise I am OK. My main concern is that we are planning to start a family and I don't want to take a chance in terms of supporting my family. For the moment, I have decided not to go for any extraction but for sure in the next 6 months. I am giving more attention to myself now a days on my food habits and life style with which I hope to live a happy and peaceful life. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Here I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to you for your kind and detailed assistance which helped me calm down. I really appreciate your support. Thanks and best regards, XXXX

Brief Answer: You are too kind! Detailed Answer: I'm glad you went ahead and got your consults done. I'm sorry about the casual attitudes of both of the doctors. It's a tough line to walk between managing the stress of surgery with keeping an approachable demeanor. Sometimes we cannot do it well. I would suggest that at least 1 of the lumps be excised at the earliest so testing can be done. It need not be one on the stomach. But I would like them to biopsy it and do some tests to make sure that it is nothing more serious than a lipoma. I think then you can rest easy and wait for a few more months. Does that sound reasonable to you? Take Care, Looking forward to your response. Vinay
