What Do Left Mastoiditis And Adenoidal Hypertrophy As Per The MRI Reports Indicate?
Question: sir, good morning, I took mri brain for my child (age 14), the report says findings are
1. Mild right inferior tonsillar ectopia is seen, 3 mm below the foramen magnum
2. Adenoidal hypertrophy is seen narrowing the airway
3.Left mastoiditis +.
Any problem accur in future sir?

Tonsillar ectopia is present from birth and no treatment is necessary (it is a normal variation).
Adenoidal hypertrophy can cause cough, difficulty in breathing, etc and it would be useful to get an ENT evaluation done.
