default
Posted on Mon, 10 Apr 2017
Question: Recently I've been noticing bruising on my legs and a couple on my arms. I work out allot and maybe be a reason for the bruising but I'm not sure. I've also been noticing lights aches and pains throughout my body that last for a couple of seconds and come and go. I have no other symptoms and feel pretty normal besides the small aches and bruising.

My last blood work which included a CBC was done about 8 months ago came back normal. But because I've been noticing these symptoms recently I decided to get it checked out a few days ago. My doctor told me not to worry about it but I made Him order me blood work Anyways.

I've been doing allot of reading on cancer and I'm pretty nervous because other people who have had cancel say that there main symptoms were pain and bruising.

Brief Answer:
Hello dear. Cancer is highly unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So only cancer which is associated with bruising and bony pain is blood cancer. But as you said, your blood work is all normal, i donot see any reason to suspect blood cancer in you.
Cancer presents with more obvious symptoms like prolong fever, severe bony pains, loss of weight, sweating at night, etc. You need not to worry.
Please upload a pic of bruises and blood report too.

I will give you more information then
Thanks and regards

I uploaded 4 pictures. 3 on my leg and 1 on my arm. I cant seem to find the blood work as it been 8 months since. However I do remember that everything was normal. I'm waiting on my most recent blood work results.

Brief Answer:
Hello. You require evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. So you definitely have bruises and i think they are not post trauma. So wait for your reports and upload them here. There can be several other causes of bruises besides cancer so you need not to be worried right now.
Revert back with reports.
Thanks and regards

Hi doctor. I got my results back and the CBC test was normal in range. Will this test rule out cancer ? Also, I take Paxil, multivitamin, and a libido pill on a daily basis. Will these medications and vitamins alter the results of the blood test I have taken?

Brief Answer:
Hello. It rules out cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. So if the blood counts and smear are normal, it largely rules out cancer. Multivitamin and the drugs you are having, do not cause bruising. So other causes of easy bruising can be, genetic, some vasculitis or old age(you are young). You can discuss these issues with your doctor. Rest assured.
Thanks and regards
