Question: Had the pneumovax23 shot on Wednesday. Became very ill--vomiting, headache and extreme pressure in sinus area upon standing which radiated down through the back of my legs. Still have the sinus pressure upon standing with the leg issues too. This is alarming and I don't know what to do.

Brief Answer:
Not related. Not alarming. No need to worry

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Let me assure you that the mentioned symptoms are possibly unrelated to the vaccine and possibly you are just suffering from an independent viral infection. Management is supportive. Take steam inhalation. Take paracetamol or acetaminophen for your headache. Take plenty of fluids and ORS (oral rehydration solution) to drink. I am sure that you would soon be ok.
