Question: hello doctor
today morning all of sudden the middle line of the lower lip became red and it feels like flushed feeling. just 10 minutes before that i was actually stretching my lips fully down with the help of cotton buds to view the base of gums and to click some photos to send to the dentist . during that time and before that the lips were fine after that 10 minutes later i felt hot feeling in lower lips then it became red .
1) the pimple rash which you told me to look out for while stretching the lips touched that pimple rash is it because of that ? i am very much scared and stressed out.
2) sometimes i do get this sensation of hot feeling and there is a red XXXXXXX but it goes off after sometime but today i am very much scared . i have aplied hydrocortisone cream .
3) i have attached photos of the lips before the redness after the redness and also the cream applied . i have also attached pics of the pimple rash ( when i look closely it look like a small tiny white head but it hurts )
4)my lips also feel dry
i am so scared doctor please help me

Brief Answer:
Not related to herpes,

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear
I have reviewed the attached photographs and there is no herpetic rash.
I can definitely appreciate some redness on the lower lip but it's not related to herpes. It could be due to touching the pimples present on the chin area.
The redness that comes and goes off is again related to sensitive skin and lips.
You have applied the cream in very large amounts.
You just have to apply a tiny speck of cream on the affected lip and rub it so that it's not visible on the surface and gets absorbed.
Don't worry as there are no signs and symptoms of herpes.

Dr Asmeet

Brief Answer:
Seems to be mild glossitis, vitamin B complex supplements, benzocaine gel

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have gone through your complaints and reviewed the attached photographs.
It seems to be mild glossitis.
It could be associated with some iron or vitamin B complex deficiency.
Its not related to herpes.
You can apply benzocaine gel on the affected spots 2-3 times in a day and take some Vitamin B complex supplements for few days.
This will help in resolving your problem.

Hello doctor
I have attached few pics where there are pimple like bumps in the skin just below lower lip and chin and also around the right side nose . They all hurt like acne pimple but I was wondering why all of sudden . It does not itch but when I have stretch my lower lips it hurts . Also there was a line in the right didevermillion border more like a cut and it becomes red all of a sudden and then it goes ( this happened yesterday evening and then again the redness this morning but I did not want to take risk so I have applied hydrocortisone cream . Same thing in the upper lip vermillion border while I was cleaning it ( yellow dirt flakes coming off and it became red so I applied it there ) I am so scared Doctor wat is it . I wanted to tell you something . 13 days ago while I was at the dentist after the procedures the doc or was showing me something about my gums through the mirror I believe a droplet of her spit fell just above the left side vermillion borderon theskin . I did wipe off immediately but I am scared now .

Brief Answer:
Pain common in pimples, red line seems allergic

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have reviewed the attached photographs.
It is very common to have pain in pimples.
Some of them seems to be inflammed and that's why you are having pain.
Regarding the red line it seems to be allergic in nature.
Don't worry about the spit also.
It won't cause any problem.
Just relax and don't worry about herpes.

Hello doctor
I have attached few pics of the lower lips . Can you please tell me if they are ok. Also are the upper left and right side lips even or are they swollen. I feel the skin below the lower lip is itchy and when I rub it it’s flaky. I am so scared Doctor . Also it’s been almost 13 days since the dental cleaning . What do you think.

Brief Answer:
Everything seems normal, there is no swelling

Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the attached photographs and everything seems normal.
There is no swelling.
Flakiness below lower lip is due to dryness.
Apply a moisturising cream on the face 2-3 times in a day.
