Brief Answer:
Wrist Swelling , Treatment below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have seen the picture and there is probably some swelling in the wrist joint. The swelling could have come any reason - mostly it is fluid in the wrist joint .
I would suggest the following treatment:
1. Pain killers daily for few days .
2.Hot fomentation with warm water twice daily.
3.Local Analgesic cream twice daily
4.Wrist support to be used
5. No heavy or twisting movements for 3 weeks
I do hope that this treatment helps her. Try it for about 10 days and if pain is not relieved or pain increases in between , then please get an X ray of the wrist.
