What Causes White Spots On Forehead Of Infant?

Question: My son was born 6months ago with lots of white spots in his forehead. Now most have disappeared but some remain and would nit go. It looks like lota what to do?

Thank you for writing to HCM,

It might happen because of allergic infection of something. Due to that possibility of red spots on body or as you mentioned on forehead. It might disappear after some time. So, wait for while and it not seems good than you should concern a good doctor.

The image and description you sent looks like pityriasis XXXXXXX
This is a common skin condition in babies.
The white patches will go away spontaneously as you mentioned that some have disappeared. The rest of the lesions too will disappear spontaneously

Usually no active treatment is required. If lesions do not settle bygone year you can consult your doctor for prescribing tacrolimus or PUVA therapy for repigmentation but this is usually rarely done as most of the babies lose the spots.
