What Causes White Particles In Urine?
Question: I have just started to potty train my 2.5 year old son (who is amazing and healthy- no prior medical issues) with the portable potty (using bags) I noticed white particles floating in the urine. I never noticed this before because it has always been in a potty at home that I immediately emptied into the toilet.

Following could be the cause for floating white particles in the urine
1. Turbid urine because of concentrated Urine
2. Smegma in urine: There is whitish secretion under the foreskin of penis which can get mixed with urine
3. Urinary tract infection: Its less likely as the baby is keeping good health and there is no excessive crying while passing urine and fever.
If this is an isolated episode , no further consideration is required. If you notice it again, do get a Urine routine and microscopy examination done.
Also do ensure good intake of fluids and local hygiene.
