Question: I am a black person with white scales on the two sides of my scrotum. This itches sometimes and I have noticed some new odours from my scrotum. This is quite embarrasing and I don't want to open my private parts to any doc. Can you please tell me what may be the cause of this itchy scales on my scrotum and what may be causing the sudden odour on my private part.

Brief Answer:
Fungal infection,take treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

I have seen the attached pictures.
You seem to have developed tinea infection .
Keep the affected area clean and dry.
Apply a topical antifungal cream like clotrimazole over the affected areas twice daily for two weeks regularly.
Do not apply any other cream or oil over the affected area.
You might need a course of oral antifungals if the lesion still tends to persist or increase.
Wear cotton undergarments so as to decrease sweating and prevent further infection.

Hope it helps

should I discontinue the use of daktarin spray or should I use it effectively? Also, is tinea the possible cause of the sudden odour from the affected area?

Are there also tablets I might be able to use to help with the treatment?
