What Causes Weird Sensation In One Of The Anchors Of 6 Teeth Bridge?

default
Posted on Wed, 6 May 2015
Question: regarding my front teeth
My one tooth feels funny - no pain, no swelling
my concern - I have a 6 teeth bridge on that side with that tooth being one of the anchors
If something needs to be done to that tooth, can they go right through the tooth
Also, what happens if that tooth needs to be pulled?

I don't have a lot of money.

Please helP

Brief Answer:
Radiograph , Treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX XXXXXX,

Thanks for consulting Healthcaremagic .
This is Dr. Priyanka Tiwari answering your query .

Read your query as your one of the teeth feels funny sensation which is one of the anchors of your bridge this can be due to periodontal problem (tooth supporting fibres ) or due to infection in tooth (pulp chamber) .

Can you upload image of tooth in report section that will be more helpful for me to arrive at conclusion and give you proper diagnosis and treatment plan .

Based on detail provided it can be two possibilites periodontal infection or infection in tooth pulp chamber . As you are asking both can be treated going right through tooth . Periodontal problem treated with curettage and tooth infection can be treated with root canal treatment and if tooth needs to be pulled out then bridge is removed with the help of bridge or crown remover after then extraction is done then new bridge is fabricated with support of new tooth as abutment after healing of socket .

For this I will suggest you to consult good oral surgeon and go for Radiograph that will be more helpful in getting proper diagnosis.

Awating for pictures to comment further .

Hope I have answered your query .
If you have further query I will be happy to help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX XXXXX ,

Welcome again ,

Read your query your tooth and bridge needs clinical examination and then diagnosis can be made whether bridge is to be replaced or treatment can be done through it . There is nothing to be worried and get panic . If you can upload image of tooth or radiograph then it will be helpful for to arrive at conclusion and give you proper diagnosis .
If you cant afford costly treatment in private clinic you can visit dental college for treatment .

I saw my dentist last night - she took x-rays and all okay

I'm about two months out from an apicoectomy, so I was very concerned about that tooth as well as my three other front teeth.

My dentist referred me to a psychiatrist - I'm just kidding.

Thanks again for your kindness and reassurance.
