Brief Answer:
you'd better do some tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

unjustified lack of energy may indeed mean anemia but it may also mean other things like thyroid disease or depression for example. There are numerous causes so you'd better do some basic tests to exclude some of the most common ones.

- complete blood count to check for anemia (mostly)
- thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH)
- electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium)
- urea and creatinine
- liver function tests (AST, ALT, ALP)
- glucose

Other important causes of unexplained lack of energy include sleep apnea syndrome and depression. If all else fails to explain the symptoms then depression might be the answer. You should investigate organic causes first though.
