Brief Answer:
Its a seroma.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for query my dear patient,

Most likely its a seroma.A seroma is a collection of fluid that builds up under the surface of your skin. Seromas usually develop after a surgical procedure, most often where tissue was removed(usually in large surgeries involvi g gut). The swelling and fluid may start collecting after surgery.S
Ask your surgical team to put a drainage catheter around the site of incision for few days this would help to drain off the fluid quickly.Initially get an ultra sound done to rule out possibility of calcification of fluid or development of pus into it.If things are normal ask your general surgeon to put drainiage tube at the site of removal of tissue of intestine. It will take few days for the fluid to get draimed off.
Broad spectrum antibiotics should be given parentrally to prevent formation of absess or sepsis.
Hope i answered your query well.

nothing was removed and bowel is intact. fluid accumulates in bowel and is relieved by ng tube or vomit of 1000mL of fluid. it is after the stomach and allows fluid passage while it acclumates fluid until bowel is closed off.

Brief Answer:
follow up.

Detailed Answer:
Hello my dear patient,
I feel that there is some perforation in your gut as a result of complication of surgery which acts like a point of continuous leakage of fluid.
At this point surgeon has to take call whether he wants to do a explorative laprotomy again to find the site of leak or would wait and watch however 1000 ml of fluid could be suggestive of some perforation or site of leakage and a explorative check laprotomy could be done.
Thank you.
