Question: I hurt my back on sat My wife gave me loratabs for pain which I took 3 of them over an 8 hr period..I got extremely ill.Throwing up violently for about twelve hrs..mostly greenish yellow phlem..I`m feeling a little better but still afraid to eat much...Did not eat anything for that 12 hr period of sickness..Any comments

I am so sorry to hear about you hurting your back. Nausea and vomiting is a known side effect of this drug and that probably explains why you had that pain. I will encourage you to start eating without fear again. It would help protect the stomach for acid aggression as well as provide energy for you to keep going.

This drug is a controlled substance. Though you took it for justified reasons, avoid taking drugs that were not prescribed to you as it may get you into unintended difficult situations.

Just wanted to say thank you very much for your help. I took your advice and kept eating even though it was small helpings at first.I`m now back to normal and eating well and feel great.I learned a valuable lesson on this one,do not take meds that were not prescribed for you even though the intentions were well.Thanks again for your help!
