What Causes Vomiting And Body Chills After Taking Methylprednisolone?
Question: Hi, I'm a 35 year old female who has been sick with a head cough and terrible cough for two weeks. I went to urgent care two days ago and they gave me a Z pack, methylprednisolone and a nasal spray. Today I woke up vomiting and having chills but feel very hot all over. My temp is 96 degrees, but I feel like I'm burning up and am so sick to my stomach. I have never been as sick as I feel right now. Is this part of the illness or is the medication causing it? What should I do?

I would like to inform you that methylprednisolone belong to steroid class of drugs .Drugs in this class are known for their long list of side effects . One very common acute side effect is that , you have right now. That is feeling of burning sensation in stomach , vomiting and feeling of hot all over body.
In my opinion you should stop methylprednisolone and take some antacids first.This will give you relief in your stomach upset .
