Atleast 3 days a week , he gets the intense feel of revolving like a kind of close to faint , and lasts almost 6 to 7 hours. Next day , he becomes normal . Off late its is quite often occuring. His BP/Blood Sugar/ Cholestrol are normal and in touch with the family physician for regular checks. For this problem , he is now treated by a XXXXXXX ENT surgeon , and also a consultation from a neuro. Bases on the symptoms ,the ENT Dr has advised on some medicines that helps reduce the giddinesis and also no scan is needed at this stage . Further he complains of weak legs , and the Dr advised that the nerves are quite weak in the leg , that makes further discomfort. Request an second openion from the related Physician/Specialist . Brief Answer: As below: Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for your query. 1. The following symptoms: a. Vertigo on some days of the week b. Almost fainting c. Vertigo lasting for 6 to 7 hours d. Weakness in the legs are all signs that the vertigo is related to more than just the ear. 2. If you can upload the clinical notes and the results of the tests already conducted, I will be able to guide you better. 3. It is better to get an MRA (Angiogram) done to rule out any central cause for his vertigo. His symptoms suggest a possibility of Vertebrobasilar TIA (Transient Ischemic Attacks). I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them. Regards.
