What Causes Upper Right Abdominal Pain When Diagnosed With Pancreatitis?

default
Posted on Wed, 25 Jan 2017
Question: I ave a diagnosed case of pancreatitis, for about the last two weeks I've been having a severe pain on the right side of my liver area. Could that be a symptom of the pancreatitis? I've had pancreatitis approximately 10 years which began after a very serious stomach surgery.

Brief Answer:
Needs to be investigated

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. The pain could indeed be due to pancreatitis. However, blood investigation like lipase and amylase, and whole abdominal ultrasound needs to be done for confirmation. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause.

Regards
