Question: Had rotator cuff surgery 4 weeks ago. My hand now shakes some times when I try to write or hold something. Is this normal or should I worry. See my surgeon again in 3 weeks.

Brief Answer:
Not worrisome.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The shaking of the hand could be a nervous tremor or due to decreased fluid intake or a mild soft tissue swelling around the nerves in the axilla. This is a normal finding and usually subsides after taking adequate fluids and rest. The swelling will also subside with hot compress around the axilla.
You need to self monitor yourself for any muscle weakness or weakness or tingling in the fingers. In case any of such symptoms appear then do consult your surgeon for an examination.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
