Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

Yes there must be a reason for tinnitus specially if unilateral.
Usually unilateral tinnitus has simple reasons for example;
1) Damages Ear drum.
2) Foreign body.
3) Wax.
4) Unilateral infection.
5) Unilateral nerve damage( rare)
6) Some structure touching ear drum.
7) unilateral congestions of ear.
8) Unilateral eustachean tube block.

Finding out the cause and treating it accordingly is quite simple you will just need a checkup by an ENT specialist he will use otoscope to check your ears might want to run some tests and he will hopefuly be able to find the cause and then this cause can be treated accordingly.I will suggest you not to panic just visit your ENT specialist as soon as possible to procede further with this. Keep good care of ear cleaning.

I hope this answered your question, a
if you have more please feel free to ask.
