Brief Answer:
Please stop taking Zoloft and call the doctor tomorrow.

Detailed Answer:
When starting an antidepressant such as Zoloft, some mild side effects are expected and may go away after a couple of weeks of the body getting used to the new medicine. However ringing in the ears is not one of those acceptable mild side effects. You should definitely stop taking the medicine, call your doctor tomorrow and report all of these symptoms.

Whether to go to the ER tonight depends on the severity of the symptoms you are having. If you are having severe abdominal pain or headache then it would be appropriate to go to the ER. But most likely these are from starting the Zoloft and you will feel better in a couple of days after discontinuing the medicine.

It does not look like Zoloft is going to be a medication that is for you. It's possible another SSRI with a better side effect profile such as Lexapro might be better tolerated. If your doctor switches you to another med, consider suggesting that you start at a pediatric dose and going up on the dose very slowly.

Please let me know if I can provide any further information or clarification.
