What Causes Tingling Sensations In The Penis And Rectal Area?

Question: hello doctor,
i want your opinion on this please.
It has been 90 days since my unprotected sex exposure.
On the second day i started getting that burning/sensitive/tingling sensation in penis and rectum. No burning during urination only AFTER, no discharge, no lesions or sores or red spots anywhere till today. lttle redness penis head. Urge to pee is there when sensitivity happens.

Did test PCR RealTime HIV, HBV & HCV post exposure 25 days and negative for all.
Tested 70 days post exposure for all other bacterial STI and STD like herpes etc using PCR through blood and swab (from inside penis) and all came negative except HSV1 antibody was positive in blood but negative in urethra swab.
Semen and Urine culture showed no growth or anything.

The pain/uncomfortable tingling feeling inside urethra and rectum is still there.
I think it got agitated more after the swab test was taken.
It seems to increase when i wear tight pants or when i get angry at something, so i am sure it is inflamed and gets worse when i am agitated.
I tried so many different antibiotics, anti inflammatory pills and anti fungal creams but no affect. Only time seems to make it better but i really want full relief.

I even checked with the girl lately whom i had intercourse with and she said that she tested lately and no infections whatsoever.
Could it be the condom mixed with my sperm?
What would you recommend me doing at this stage?

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I want to clarify regarding use of condoms. You have mentioned about unprotected sex and therefore it means condoms were not used so there is no possibility of condom having your sperm.

If you tested negative for HIV, HBV, HCV after 25 days then there is rare chance of you getting the infections.

The burning and discomfort can occur in the genital region due to herpes even when there is no rashes an this is one of the possibilities.

In case you do not drink adequate water then that can cause burning urination

It can happen due to stress and is not related to sexual intercourse.

Other possibility is any injury to urethra during sexual intercourse but it should heal in 90 days.

There can also be an occult infection which will not show on regular tests.

I understand that you had only vaginal intercourse with your partner and therefore any symptom in the rectum is not related to sex unless you have also had anal intercourse.

Right now you can discuss above points with your doctor and see which of the possibilities are likely after a detailed clinical evaluation by your urologist.

Hope your query is answered.

Brief Answer:
The risk of transmission from female to male during condom break is less

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

If you were having condom and it broke then there is rare chance of any disease transmission because the area of contact between penis and vagina is still less.

With kind regards
