Continue SMX.

Detailed Answer:
Good Day and thank you for being with Healthcare Magic!

It sounds like you have a case of urinary tract infection. UTIs is still the most common cause of blood in the urine in the presence of pain in urination. Drink plenty of fluids and wait for 3 days until the TMP-SMX would work. If after 3 days there is still not relief you might need a urine culture and an ultrasound.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://www.HealthcareMagic.com/doctors/dr-manuel-c-see-iv/66014 I would gladly help you. Best wishes
